In 2007, Tien Tzuo evangelized the shift from products to services, coining the phrase “The Subscription Economy.” Before starting Zuora, Tzuo was one of the ‘original forces’ at Salesforce (employee #11) where he built its original billing system and served as their Chief Strategy Officer & Chief Marketing Officer for almost a decade. Following his experience at Salesforce, Tzuo launched Zuora and for the last 13 years has made it his mission to empower businesses to make the shift to subscription-based business models.
